The practical cookery course held on Saturdays aimed at developing both culinary expertise and malt whisky nosing and tasting skills.

The Glenfiddich Gourmet Cookery School is one of the most popular day courses offered at the Edinburgh School of Food and Wine. It is the perfect opportunity for you to work together to create a fabulous three-course meal and learn the art of malt whisky nosing and tasting under the instruction of one of Glenfiddich’s experts.

Who are they for?

If you know a bit about cooking but would like to further develop their skills plus learn the connoisseurs’ art of nosing and tasting single malts.
The course introduces the innovative use of Scottish produce to create a fabulous 3-course menu, whilst providing insider tips on how to make food look as good as it tastes. Plus, at the end of the day, there is a chance to enjoy a nosing and tasting session conducted by a Glenfiddich expert.

Course Format

The course runs from 10am to 5.00pm (approx).

Our Chef will demonstrate the creation of a selection of starters, main courses and desserts. There will then be the opportunity to re-create 3 of the dishes, and then enjoy the food you have prepared over a glass or two of wine.
The day culminates in:

  • A single malt whisky master-class, delivered by one of Glenfiddich’s whisky experts.
  • Introduced to the art of nosing and tasting single malts
  • Enjoy a selection of different drams from the Glenfiddich range – including Glenfiddich 12 Year Old, 15 Year Old and 18 Year Old.Come on your own, with a friend, or contact us to make a group booking.
