The Food & Wine events are held on selected Friday evenings. These evenings are held in our beautiful 18th Century Coach House, where you will enjoy an evening of wine tasting accompanied by good food. These are occasions to taste quality wines from different countries throughout the world and to sample the flavours of that country.


Who are the Courses for?

Our Food & Wine Evenings are for anyone who enjoys wine and would like to know more about it. They are held in the Bell Tower Room of our beautiful 18th Century Coach House, designed by architect Robert Adam, and are occasions to taste quality wines from different countries throughout the world and to sample flavours of that country.

Each evening is based on a country or a specific region, around which a five course menu is designed and freshly prepared. Wines are carefully selected to match each course and an experienced wine connoisseur will be on hand to guide you through the tasting of each wine and to talk about the characteristics of the grapes and of the regions in which they are grown.

Our Chef will join you later in the evening to talk in more detail about the food you have tasted and perhaps even share some recipes.

Our Food & Wine Evenings are usually held on a Friday, with guests invited to arrive from 7.00 p.m. in time to enjoy a pre dinner aperitif and taste some canapés reflective of the cuisine for that evening. The evening usually finishes around 10.00 p.m.

The Food and Wine Evening

Our chef will provide information on the food, while an experienced wine connoisseur, will be on hand to talk about the different wines, their characteristics, and the regions in which they are grown.
