A spectacular function room that can cater for just about any occasion. We have now incorporated into the School and completely refurbished the 300 year old former stables which adjoins the Coach House. We can also erect a marquee just outside the School to increase the facilities still further.

Corporate Facilities
ESFW is only 5 minutes drive from Edinburgh International Airport and 20 minutes from Edinburgh's City Centre. It is set in the relaxed and beautiful grounds of Newliston Estate and is an ideal venue for a more personal business meeting or a teambuilding event.
Meetings are held in our Bell Tower Dining Room. We can provide meeting facilities including laptops, flip charts and audio visual equipment. As a recently converted 300 year old stable block the atmosphere created is both unique and impressive, and a truly different venue to bring clients or staff for an important meeting.
Team Building Events
ESFW has built up a great deal of experience and expertise in hosting very successful teambuilding events for companies. One of our most successful and enjoyable activities is a Cook-In teambuilding event, held in our fully equipped professional teaching kitchen. One of our experienced chefs will host the evening, demonstrating the preparation of a three course meal and then the ‘competition' commences in the kitchen, with everyone getting their hands dirty!
We can tailor the Cook-In to achieve your aims - eg a team or individual competition, staff versus management or group bonding to name but a few examples. Whatever your needs we can promise you a fun filled and memorable evening, ending with the whole team sharing the meal cooked by them during the evening. An opportunity not to be missed!
Private Dining
The Bell Tower Dining Room was built in 1704 by the famous architect, William Adam, and was originally a stable for horses belonging to the estate. It was refurbished in 2001 by Jill Davidson, the owner of the ESFW. The room has been renovated to modern high standards whilst at the same time retaining some original features such as the pillars, cobblestones and saddle racks, in order to preserve the historic and charming atmosphere of the room.
We are happy to hire the Bell Tower Dining Room for an exclusive business or social lunch event, a memorable evening meal or for a whole day event. We can provide an excellent choice of menus and staffing options (eg waitress service or self-service buffet) to cater for all budgets.
You can hire the Bell Tower Dining Room to host a special celebration for family and friends. The beautiful country location, as well as the intimate and well-equipped room lends any evening a real sense of occasion. Simply relax and let us look after you!
