    In advance of the start of our WSET Level 2 course you will receive the official WSET study materials to allow sufficient time to complete the pre-reading. On joining your course mates for days 1 to 3 you will learn about the full range of wine styles, white, red, rose, sweet, sparkling and fortified wine and also the important spirits by tasting a range of wines made from the major grape varieties.


    You will develop the tasting skills to help you identify the key characteristics associated with the world’s classic grape varieties and make a sound assessment of the wine’s quality.


    The course also highlights the key factors in the vineyard and winery that influence the style and quality of wines and spirits produced regionally and globally.


    On day 4 you will learn the process of food and wine pairing, through learning to understand your palate better and by flavour balancing and contrasting to enhance your drinking and dining experience both at home and in restaurants. You’ll also examine the influence of glassware, learn how to look after your wines and how to serve them at their best.


    Suitable for enthusiasts and professionals, this course is taught by passionate and fully qualified WSET certified educators with experience in various sectors of the wine industry to offer students a rounded perspective on wines and spirits and their role in today’s culture and society.
