Join us for a fun, skills based fish and seafood class, where you will learn the essential techniques to create delicious dishes. During the class, you will discover how to prepare different types of fish and seafood, from filleting and deboning to cooking methods that will tempt and tantalize your taste buds.

Don’t worry if you’re a beginner or have never worked with fish before – our experienced instructors will guide you every step of the way. We are lucky in Scotland to have such an abundance of wonderful ingredients on our doorstep, you will learn to overcome any fears you may have and gain confidence in handling these delightful ingredients.

Our focus is on providing a supportive and enjoyable environment where you can unleash your inner chef and have fun while learning.

What you will learn:

  • How to select and buy quality, fresh fish
  • Knife skills
  • Making fish stock
  • Pin-boning and skinning
  • Preparation and filleting
  • Dish presentation

The class runs from 10am – 4pm, our tutor will demo the dishes and you will recreate in a fun, social environment.  You eat the dishes you prepare throughout the day.

What is included:

  • All equipment and ingredients required to prepare the days menu.
  • An ESFW apron to wear on the day
  • Expert tuition from our experienced and friendly chef tutors and assistants
  • A full day of hands-on cookery
  • A printed recipe booklet detailing the dishes covered
  • Refreshments throughout the day and a glass of wine with lunch

Please note: Fish and shellfish are used in this class.  Any other special dietary requirement can be accommodated for.
