Scottish Certificate for Personal Licence Holder – Refresher Training (SCPLH/R) – The Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 requires all Personal Licence Holders to undertake accredited refresher training and pass a refresher exam, within 5 years of their Personal Licence being issued.  This certification is also required for the 10 year renewal, – an application to renew must be made within a 9-month renewal window, which starts 12-months prior to the expiry date on your licence.

The Scottish Personal Licence Holders Certificate – Refresher Training is a half-day, in-person session, with the course handbook being made available to candidates one week prior to attending the course to enable pre-course revision.

The course runs from 9.30am to 2pm, which includes 3 hours of in-class learning, half an hour for lunch and an hour to sit the 40-question multiple choice exam.

We have free on-site parking and provide lunch and refreshments on the day, please let us know of any special dietary requirements at time of booking.  We offer a free collection and drop-off service from Haymarket Station, if required.

Candidates must bring a form of approved photo ID with them on the day:

• A photo card driving licence, or
• A valid passport, or
• A valid identity card from within the EU, or
• A military identity card, or
• A government identity card, or
• A Security Industry Authority card
